ROSCO FLAMEX
Scenery and props are made of more than just canvas, woods and polyester fabrics. Materials consisting of composites, pulped sheets, plastics, papers, cardboards and almost any other material commonly found is getting used in scenic applications every day. Each one of these materials, when used in public assembly, must meet local requirements for flame retardance. Rosco has a range of six flame retardants in its Flamex line to treat Natural, Synthetic & Delicate Fibers, Paper & Cardboard, Raw Wood and even a Paint Additive that flame retards any piece of scenery as long as you paint 100% of the surface. These advanced flame retardant formulas have been tested and certified according to the appropriate standards by NFPA, ANSI & ASTM and have certificates of approval from the California Fire Marshall and NYC Fire Department.
