ROSCO CrystalGel

A versatile, water-based scenic goo that can be used not only as a powerful, flexible adhesive, but also as a texturing agent that dries clear in thin coats and white as it gets thicker. Crystal Gel is perfect for attaching decorative elements to those hard-to-stick-to substrates. Some substrates are difficult to adhere to – acrylic, aluminum, foam, to name a few, and fabrics are difficult to adhere to because most adhesives were never meant to flex. Because of its flexibility Crystal Gel is also a great way to suspend decorative materials like glitter, sand and sequins to fabrics or other flexible materials. Crystal Gel will dry clear when applied in layers, so it can create vibrant, textured stained-glass windows when tinted and applied to Plexi-Glass or make a digital picture look like an oil painting when brushed onto the print. When applied in thicker layers, Crystal Gel will dry cloudy – the same way water behaves when it is freezing, which makes it a useful material for creating ice-caves and other frigid elements. In fact, you can add Rosco Invisible Blue Fluorescent Paint to Crystal Gel to make your icy effect glow blue under black light.
